JOB TITLE: Partnerships & Promotions Intern
REPORTING TO: Senior Promotions and Partnerships Manager, UK
DEPARTMENT: UK Marketing
DURATION: 6 months

Role overview:

The Promotions and Partnerships Assistant will work within the UK Theatrical Marketing team as support to the Snr Promotions & Partnerships Manager who is responsible for growing a portfolio of strategic brand third-party partnerships and a wide range of promotional activity.

Main duties:

Promotional Activity
- Assisting the promotions and partnerships manager with the day-to-day management of the retained promotions agency
- Taking part in brainstorms and assisting with promotional strategy for film releases.
- Being responsible for any grass roots activity when required on film releases
- Creating presentation slides for any pre-release strategy presentations and post-campaign reports
- Assisting in pulling together email company updates on promotional activity
- Eventually taking on the promotional activity for some of our smaller releases
- Upon request by Senior Partnerships Manager or Head of Marketing, undertaking research into promotional/partnership activity for comparative or competitive films and presenting back to Theatrical Marketing team.
- Where appropriate, assisting Marketing Managers on implementation of promotional activity.

Promotions Agencies
- Build relationships with all existing promotions agency teams by attending meetings and liaising on the phone as and when necessary
- Attending fortnightly meeting with retained agency and circulating notes/action points amongst the Marketing team afterwards
- Assisting with pulling together briefs for promotions agencies
- Liaising with the promotions agency to ensure partner support is delivered as communicated and on time
- Liaising with the promotions agency on prize fulfillment

Admin Support
• Helping populate and manage the new partnerships database – keeping it updated with new contact details
• Request Purchase Orders are raised and received to ensure timely payment of invoices
• Helping to set up a system whereby we can track when Purchase Orders are raised and then received
• Responsible for requesting POS materials to be sent out to partners when required
• Carry out adhoc administrative & other requests on behalf of the promotions and partnerships manager

Interdepartmental
- Day-to-day liaison between promotions agency and marketing managers to ensure any deadlines for creative approval and live dates are met and any concerns are communicated back to the promotions and partnerships manager
- Attending all film update meetings – taking notes as and when necessary
- Working closely with the marketing and PR teams leaning about the alignment on campaigns

Ad hoc
• To be willing to support on occasional event based promotions
• To be willing to support the wider marketing team on any film related events where needed such as setting up costume displays


Experience, Skills, Knowledge, Education

- Passion for film
- Fluent in English (French is a plus)
- Strong attention to details
- Good Excel, Microsoft Word and Powerpoint user
- Positive, dynamic and can-do attitude

Role Overview:
Key support for the international creative marketing team. Further understanding of international and creative marketing processes in film distribution (Print/AV/Digital) and key skills for marketing.

Main Duties:
• General support for the international creative marketing team
• Brainstorming creative ideas and strategy for key releases with the creative marketing team
• Researching in competitors’ creative marketing campaigns and showcasing the key findings in clear presentations to share with the teams.
• Supporting the marketing managers to put together marketing briefs for each campaign
• Coordinating alongside the marketing manager the organization of the markets for which the team has to create AV and print materials
• Helping with the review and selection of stills for the campaign on the platform photokill
• Supporting the team coordinator to raise POs and keeping the database up to date
• Creating viewing links using Studiocloud or Vimeo when needed
• Coordinating the materials delivery to the teams and agencies
• Supporting the team with the organization of meetings sending calendar invites, booking meeting rooms, sending agendas and taking minutes
• Arranging the team’s local and international travel booking trains, taxis and accommodations when needed.
• Organizing screenings for the teams
• Helping with administrative duties and coordination between the international digital marketing team in Paris and the international creative marketing team in London

MAIN DUTIES
• Maintain up-to-date contact lists for international distribution partners, asking for latest information from international distribution team in Paris
• Collate international screening reactions from STUDIOCANAL and non-STUDIOCANAL territories in one clear document
• Collate international coverage of STUDIOCANAL UK productions
• Assist with managing materials – updating production notes, selecting stills, clips etc. and disseminating files once approved for release to international office in Paris
• Assist in budget management, including raising POs, chasing supplier quotes & costs etc.
• Assist with logistics for department and across film titles, including booking of travel, hotels, cars and management of relevant travel & car grids
• Assist UK publicity team and intern where necessary
• Attend relevant publicity team meetings
• Support publicity team in the organisation and execution of press junkets, talent visits, festivals, premieres and other events.
