Dr. Jan-Pelgrom de Haas, CEO of KINOWELT, Leipzig, has asked KINOWELT shareholder StudioCanal to terminate his contract as CEO for family reasons. He will be returning to Hamburg from the company’s headquarters in Leipzig. He will leave the company at the end of June but upon request from the shareholder, he will continue to consult for the company until a successor takes office.
Olivier Courson, CEO of StudioCanal, said: „We regret Jan-Pelgrom’s decision but we sympathize with his reasons. I would like to thank him for his contribution towards the good results of KINOWELT during his term as CEO, especially the successful integration of KINOWELT within StudioCanal. We all wish him the best upon his return to Hamburg.”
Romain Bessi, CFO of StudioCanal, will hold the interim until a new CEO is appointed.
